Not very many viscets share my love for tradition and the ways of my people. If I am to preserve the memory of my ancestors, then I must live in the way of my people and my ancestors. Heritage is a part of all of us, what is your heritage? How do you preserve your heritage and keep to the way of your people? What is your dream job?
I want to be a nature preserver. I love being able to teach others about preservation of all kinds and especially our world around us. What is your wanted rank? I want to have a rank that will allow me to teach younger viscets about our way of life in the native covens. What is your favorite story from your heritage? My favorite story is of a boy named Eagle and a girl named River. Eagle and River came from rivalry tribes and had encountered one another when a big yellow cat attacked River. Eagle had helped carry the wounded River to her home tribe. Eagle was lucky that her father granted him safe passage that day in return for saving his daughter. Later on the two continued to run into one another and eventually fell in love. River was supposed to make a cloak for her betrothed, but instead she made a cloak for her Eagle. River's betrothed eventually found out about the affair and told River's father. River's father had the two burned for their deceit and adultery. It is said that the two lovers can still be seen together in the mountains where they first met. What songs did your people sing? We sang many songs. We sang songs to help our crops grow, to bring rain, to bring good fortune on a hunt, and even songs to help heal the sick. We did not have songs for everything and in those times we would send our prayers to our ancestors rather than our singing voices. |
Cha'risa is a highly tradition female who believes in the preservation of heritage and memory. She tries her best to defend her peoples' honor and tries even harder to teach others of their ways. Elk can be a bit snappy and defensive, but she does mean well. She is very kind and adores children. Elk does hope to one day have kids of her own. Cha'risa is a hard working viscet and owns her own piece of land where she raises cattle and vegetables. She has her own little trade market where she might trade meat, veggies, jewelry, and even prized calves. She does her best to preserve her ancestors' memories and her family's heritage.
Many others will look at me with disdain, but a few good men and women will look to me as an example. I will lead others and show them how to live and still be able to preserve your family's heritage. You do not have to live in a third world state to preserve heritage, but you cannot always stay in a first world society. Tradition is good; it helps define who we are as a family. |
